Our Story

Justin Toomey | CEO
Toomey Recovery Housing was created from Justin’s personal experience with addiction and recovery. Sober since August 11, 2008, Justin understands how critical it is to have support after treatment ends.
Through his own journey, he saw that while clinical care is available, many people leave with no safe place to go during one of the most vulnerable stages of recovery.
That realization became the foundation of Toomey Recovery Housing. Here, the focus is on more than sobriety. It is about providing structure, life skills, and community so that every resident has the chance to rebuild confidence and create a life they are proud of.
Kimberly Kamphuis | Program Coordinator
Kimberly serves as Program Coordinator for Toomey Recovery Housing, where she supports residents in their recovery journey and helps ensure the program operates with consistency, structure, and care. She works closely with residents on a daily basis and is committed to meeting people where they are while helping them build stability and long-term success.

She earned her Associate’s degree in Nursing from the University of Mobile (Class of 2005) and worked at Mobile Infirmary from 2003 to 2011 in Med-Surg, SICU, and Respiratory Care. She continues to expand her knowledge in property management and supportive housing as part of her commitment to serving others in a meaningful way.
